On a cold and wet Saturday 2nd November morning, 9 members of the Basildon Natural History Society plus Cally the dog and two newcomers from Kay’s Facebook followers set out from Delmores car park in Marks Hill Nature Reserve for a fungi forage in cheery mood.As can be seen by the following photographs some fabulous examples of fungi were found at Marks Hill. There was quite a lot of discussion regarding the names of the fungi so I thought we should try something new for this item. I will number the pictures and challenge you the readers to email me at [email protected] with the correct names of each one of the fungi with their common and latin descriptions.
