It was a beautiful sunny and crisp morning on Thursday 1st January 2026 and thirteen of us gathered at Marks Hill to celebrate the New Years Day Walk. There were three new members attracted to the walk for a tryout. We spent the next two hours meandering through the woods enjoying the search for various fungi, wild flowers, insects and birds.
Finally back at the car park after a thoroughly absorbing walk Alison produced a variety of ginger and other cakes for us to eat on this bright chilly morning.
